Product Description

PEM standard Z, ZS, NZ, NZS Knurled Head Self Clinching press fit nuts

Self-clinching nuts are installed by placing them in properly sized holes in sheets andapplying a parallel squeezing force to the head of the nut, The sheet metal surrounding the head cold flows into an undercut thereby making the fastener an integral part of the sheet. A serrated clinching ring prevents the fastener from rotating after installation.

 

 

S/SS nuts are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB 80/HB 150 or less

CLS/CLSS nuts are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB 70/ HB125 or less. SP nuts are recommended for use instainless steel sheets HRB 90/HB 192 or less. CLA nuts are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB 50/ HB 82 or less

Installing a Self-Clinching Standoff

Our self-clinching standoffs are to be installed into ductile material, allowing the metal to flow into the clinch profile of the standoff and create a permanent reusable thread in the assembly. The fasteners must be sufficiently harder than the panels into which they will be installed. After each self-clinching standoff component is fitted into a properly sized hole in the mating panel, the standoffs are then pressed into place using a squeezing force. Some of our standoffs feature spring top heads for easier attachment and removal.
